Scholarships

Aldersgate has multiple scholarships available for all active participants in the church seeking higher education in any form.

The scholarships available are the Sutcliffe Scholarship, two McCullough/McCracken Family Scholarships, four Endowment Scholarships, and several Aldersgate Foundation Scholarships (new in 2025, number to be determined). (Follow the application link below to see the scholarship criteria.) The application deadline for the 2025-2026 academic year is February 1. The awards are sent directly to the institution upon enrollment, with half to be paid for first semester and half to be paid for second semester. Please see the scholarship criteria and apply online.

Scholarship award recipients will be chosen by the Aldersgate Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final. Please contact Nicole Guiliano, the church administrator, with any questions.

An Aldersgate Seminary Scholarship is available for beginning seminary students from Aldersgate. Please contact the office if you are interested.

There are also camping scholarships available through the Kay Whitcomb fund. Contact Cynthia Rios or Paige Richardson.

The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church has additional information about other scholarship and loan opportunities. Contact Pastor Esther for more information.

If there are other individuals or families interested in establishing a scholarship at Aldersgate, please contact the church or the chair of the Endowment or Scholarship committee. This is a wonderful way to give to the youth of Aldersgate as they pursue their higher education.

Aldersgate UMC Church Directory

Aldersgate’s Church Directory (for members and constituents only) is now online. You can access it through the menu link under About Us, or by using a free mobile app for your smart phone. You will need to use the email address listed in our directory to create a log-in the first time you use it. Please contact the Directory Administrator at directory@aldersgatechurch.org if you are not listed, need help, or have any questions.

Security is always a concern. Your account is protected by a username and password that only you should know. Search engines do not crawl any of the directory data located within the password‐protected portion. Only active members and constituents of Aldersgate UMC have access to our directory information.
