Sandwich Saturday

Thank you to everyone who participated in our four Sandwich Saturdays during 2009! This has developed into a great ministry for our church. Not only have we served Christ by helping the poorest of the poor, but we have had the opportunity to receive from them as well (smiles, thanks, stories, and blessings.) In October, some of our youth participated and had very meaningful experiences.

We rotate with other churches providing sack lunches for the homeless who gather at St. John’s Episcopal every Saturday. We take our turn on the 5th Saturday of the month, which happens four times a year. We assemble the lunches at the church, then deliver them to St. John's. If you would like to participate in providing food, making lunches, or helping to pass them out, please contact the church office.

Sandwich Saturday dates for 2010 are January 30, May 29, July 31, and October 30.
