  • The Prayer Committee meeting for tonight has been rescheduled for February 15.

Sunday Worship at 8:15, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary

Traditional worship is celebrated at 8:15 and 11:00 a.m., while the 9:30 a.m. service is Blended. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month. Sunday school is available for ages 2 through adult, with a nursery for younger children.

Saturday "Awakening" Contemporary Worship at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall

Come worship with us on Saturday nights! This service features a variety of Christian music, fellowship, praise, worship, and fun! Children are welcome, and there is also a nursery provided. A cross-training class for children in grades K-5 has also started. Children will be in church for a portion of the music before being dismissed to attend class.  Coffee, drinks, and snacks are provided throughout the service. The aim of this service is to offer an alternate venue for worshiping God and deepening one's relationship with the Holy. In spite of this contemporary format and fresh approach, we still seek to offer a worship experience that is grounded in the ancient truths of the Christian faith. See more at www.aumcsaturday.com.

Wednesday Night Activities (Fall through Spring)

Family fellowship meal at 5:45 p.m., joys and concerns and prayer time at 6:20 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, music rehearsals and Bible studies start at 6:30 p.m. This is a great mid-week spirit lift. Look for our new Wednesday night program for elementary aged children, "Elevate".

Mission Collection Items

Collection boxes are near the St. Francics of Assisi window for the monthly collection item, plastic bags, the Klothes Kloset, and the Disaster Relief collection. There are also collection boxes by the church office for Cambells soup labels and ink cartridges.

During February, we are collecting Health Kits to be sent to Haiti and to build up the supply for future disasters. These health kits are sent through UMCOR. The cross-training kids (K-5 Sunday School) are challenging other groups and individuals in the church to match their goal of 100 kits. The Health Kits have very specific content. Please check this link for details.

Environmental Concerns

Aldersgate has received the Creation Care Church award since 1997. We would like to encourage our members to become Creation Care Families. Fill out this survey; once you have reached 70 or more points, return it to the office. Creation Care Families will be recognized on Earth Day.

Disaster Response

For more information on the Haiti emergency and how you can help, please check here, where you will find information on needed health kits and links to information and how to donate. A thank you from the President of the Methodist Church in Haiti can be read here. Aldersgate collected $3753 for the Haiti Earthquake Relief fund.

There will be a Basic Disaster Response Training session on February 13. Please contact Arlyn Fagen if you would like to attend.

Please notify the church office if you have a vehicle capable of towing the Disaster Response trailer. It has a round 7-pin electrical connection. We can provide the proper sized trailer ball if yours is too small.

We Need Your Information! The Aldersgate Disaster Committee is updating its information on those in the congregation willing to help in the event of a disaster.  Please download and fill out this survey and return it to the church offering plate or church office. You may instead fill in this online form. Forms are also at the Welcome booth. As you will note, there are a variety of skills needed after a disaster, so all are needed! Please see Pastor Kim or anyone on the Disaster Response Committee for more information.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Philippines is working with its local partners including Action by Churches Together (ACT) and the National Council of Churches to provide relief to those affected by Typhoon Ketsana, also called Ondoy, in the Philippines. For more information see the UMCOR website, or you may donate funds using this link.
